Ok let’s go.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ever since Ash had returned from the Sinnoh region, he had been having the same nightmare. Maybe it was from not being on the road, or maybe all the little problems he had, had over his 16 years had finally caught up with him.

The ebony haired teen lay on his bead staring at the gym leader posters on his ceiling. He had been awake for at least 14 minutes after having yet another nightmare. The boy closed his eyes, the images still fresh in his mind. The silver gun, an angry Raichu, being protected by a stranger who look a lot like himself. “What does it all mean?” Ash asked the darkness.

Pikachu, who had been asleep beside the boy opened it’s eyes. “Pika pi?” the small electric rodent squeaked sleepily. Ash knew pikachu was worried about him, so he smiled for the yellow mouse. “I’m fine buddy, really.” he whispered. The boy soon drifted back to sleep, tossing and turning from nightmares.

Soon it was morning in the sleepy little town of Pallet. The sound of Dodrio welcoming the morning’s first light woke Ash from a shallow slumber. The teen covered his head with a pillow to try and block the sunlight. He had not slept very well the night before and it was now coming back to haunt him.

To his dismay he could not fall back asleep. But then again, did he really want to knowing what awaited him behind closed eyes? He removed the pillow from his face and sat up in the bed. At least one good thing came from last night, an idea from staring at the gym leader posters on his ceiling. He was going to visit Misty today, maybe she could help him decipher the nightmares.

Ash climbed out of bed and walked downstairs. In his sleep deprived state he did not notice the note his mother had left him, something rather hard to do when it was taped to the television.
The boy sat down on the sofa as his trusty friend pikachu ran over to the note it had spotted.
The little rodent grabbed the scrap of paper with it’s paw and handed it to the boy who looked rather zombie like “Huh? What’s this?” Ash asked with a yawn.

“I have gone to the market place with Mimey, I don’t want you to stay inside all day today so I suggest you go out for some fresh air, And don’t forget to put on clean underwear!
Love you, Mom”
Ash read the note and put his feet up on the sofa. “Have I really been spending that much time inside pikachu?” the boy asked the small pokemon who wasn’t really sure how to answer the question.
The silence gave Ash his answer. “Well I guess I might as well get ready, the bus to Cerulean city soon.” With that he ran up the stairs with some energy he didn’t have a few seconds ago.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pikachu stayed downstairs in the living room, watching television. A news report had flashed on the screen. “We have just gotten news from Officer Jenny that a pair of thieves are headed this way. They have stolen some technology from the Pewter city museum. And are using rather odd weapons we have never seen before. So if you spot them please call the authorities as soon as possible.” A picture showing the thieves then appeared on the screen: A girl with pale blue hair, who must of spotted the camera when this very photo had been taken, was sticking out her tongue in a childish manner and her bright green eyes like those of a child were sparkling with glee. The other thief was a boy, his eyes were shielded with sun glasses and his face shadowed by a violet hood. If this was so the cops could not take his photo or how he just was had not been figured out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The hot water pelted Ash’s body, why the water climbed to that high of a temperature and why Ash hadn’t done anything about it were closely connected. The boy had started thinking about the nightmares he had been having over the past few weeks, but it seemed that the nightmares had been getting much more violent that they often painted a bloody scene of a battle, one the boy couldn’t win. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the loud scream of the door bell. Ash tried to ignore it thinking it only as one of those door-to-door salesmen that came by every once in a while. The sound of the bell became impatient.
To save pikachu and himself from the headache that may or may not come, Ash turned off the running water and wrapped a towel around his waist then went to answer the door.

“This better be..” he stopped talking, For there standing outside the door was a girl, one who looked to be an angel. Her beautiful emerald like green eyes smiled as she did. Her delicate face framed by the fiery orange hair seemed rather cheerful. To describe her in one word it would be - angel. For she was truly sent by the heavens.
Her name? Misty.
Of course to her Ash must of looked ridiculous, soaking wet, the remnants of shampoo suds in his dark hair, a towel around his waist.”Uh, is this a bad time?” the girl’s melodic voice spoke. The very girl he was getting ready to go and visit and now there she stood outside his front door. “Huh? Oh, uh n-no, of course not! Come in.” Ash’s voice was awkward with a hint of panic. Misty giggled but walked into the Ketchum household. Ash walked upstairs quickly throwing on some clothes that were on top his dresser: A black t-shirt and a pair of old worn looking jeans.

Misty sat on the sofa, stroking pikachu’s soft yellow fur as the two of them watched the news. An ad for some new soft drink appeared on the screen. Ash emerged from the second floor and walked over to where the girl and pokemon were. “So,” he started to break the silence between them. Misty looked at him. “So, uh what made you decide to come and visit me?” Aren’t you busy with all the trainers that need the Cascade badge?” he asked. “My sisters are back from their cruise, so I’m taking a bit of a break. Plus I heard you were feeling..” Misty paused trying to think of the right word. Before she had found it Ash spoke up. “Oh, it’s nothing too serious. Just a few nightmares and lack of sleep. No need to worry!” A habit he had picked up from Dawn during his Sinnoh adventures was telling people not to worry.

A look of concern came upon the red head’s face. “Ash, listen to me. If your having nightmares every night that means something is wrong. So don’t you dare tell me not to worry!” She had a good point but did not need to make a big production out of it. The boy sighed. “I know, I know. I just wish I knew what they meant and why I was having them.”
